Most Common Chevy Traverse Problems and their Solutions

    

Since its debut in 2009, the Chevrolet Traverse has showed promise with continuous high sales. However, many drivers who purchased the model seemed to experience different problems with it. If you are one of them, you could check here some of the most common Chevy Traverse problems found in 2016 and what you should do to solve them.

1.       Issues with the Seats

This is one of the common Chevy Traverse problems out there. Problems with seat misalignment especially seen in the lower left side of the third row were one of the problems customers complained about. Not only that, there were also some welding issues.

Solution: Have experienced technicians check your vehicle and then they will change it. This has already been a reported issue and General Motors initiated a recall of all vehicles.

2.       Failure of front seat buckles

The broken front seat buckles for both seats poses a serious safety hazard for users. This was reported to be a common problem for the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse model.

Solution: Contact the registered dealer and have them inspect it. They should immediately replace the defective seat buckles.

3.       Inaccuracy of the fuel gauge

The inaccuracy of the fuel gauge results to incorrect reading of how much fuel is still left in the gas tank. It can be annoying if you have the gas tank full but the fuel gauge shows that it’s empty.

Solution: Contact your dealer and have the technicians reprogram a module in the car for the issue to be fixed.

4.       Failure of parking brake

This is a serious problem that needs to fixed right away because it might cause accidents. This problem occurs for instances when your vehicle is parked in an inclined position and the keys are still in the ignition. Instead of the vehicle keeping still, it would move.

Solution: Contact your car dealer immediately. They will replace the cable for the brake corrector, free of charge.
